Tried out my Maxpec water bottle carrier today. I really like it. It holds my 18oz SS cup and quart WB just fine. And the pouch on the front will hold a lot of stuff as well. I'm a happy dog.

556 is finally starting to show up around here for a decent price so I got a few boxes.

thats a great price on that surefire MB, I have been using a fenix tk15 flashlight at work on a daily basis and it has been fantastic so I would recommend checking them out also.

I did a bit of reconfiguring both rifles today the OD green one will be going down the road a coworker of mine wants it.

The OD will get a vortex strikefire (best red/green dot for the money out there) just like the black gun and the black gun will get some 45 deg offset BUIS.

I want to build a 7.62x39 AR so it will help fund that project.

Not really survival but kindoff a bit of outdoors and psuedo survival.

Went to Costco and picked up some canned goods to replace what we have used and picked up some freeze dried/dehyrated hashbrowns that come in little milk cartons.

I figure I will try them out while RV'ing and in Elk camp. If they taste ok and travel well I will keep some around the house since they have a decent shelf life if you use them once a year.

Maybe this doesn't belong here either, but IF it works it would be an easy for cleaning up all the camping and kitchen cookware!

FINALLY...HERE IT IS!
How to clean your cookie sheets--Kitchen "Miracle" Cleaner! You put about 1/4 cup of baking soda in a small glass bowl and squirt in hydrogen peroxide until it makes a nice paste. Then you rub it on the offending dirt/stain/grease...whatever! You can usually just use your fingers...but you can also use a small sponge as well.

Congrats on the purchase! Is it just a different gas block (+ a rod I guess) or does it require a special upper/bcg as well?

Does it have a variable gas system so you can run it dirty, with crappy ammo, or a suppressor?

I really dig the idea of a piston AR smile

Thanks Monsterdog
Yes it is a different gas block with a rod/piston leading back to a special BCG other than that it is just a "normal" AR setup. They sell adaptor kits to convert a standard AR into a piston setup and with those you get everything you need.
piston kits
It is variable for suppressor use also.
