Talk about wet. Was mowing the yard today and as I went by the water meter pit, SQUISHY SOIL! Popped the top off the pit and it was full of water, all the way to the top. Called the city. YUP, leak was on our side. BUT after the Two city guys left, one of them came back and said "Let's get this fixed Randy". He helped me dig out where the meter and our house feed connected. He went and got all the fittings and pipe needed, fixed it and we filled the hole back up. Cost to us, just under $5.00! He said the reason he didn't do it when they both were that is that the other guy would have wanted to charge us. It's nice to have friends.

I was impressed with how high the grass was. All I could see was the heads and backs of cows. You could't see the calves at all.

Well I'm not saying we've had a lot of rain lately, but MoDot DID close three Highways Tuesday morning. Not sure when they will open back up. And now that It rained again last night and supposed to rain again today, it's anybody's guess.
