7.5 inch blade, .331 inch thick flat ground blade. Got the "Rhino Horn" tip. It'd work out fine.

But Randy, that one look way too pretty to get all dirtied up...
Could you do that to it? wink

Been there, done that. Already got the paint wearing off the blade a bit. No biggie. It's a nice user. And saying that, I haven't used it THAT much.

I de-regulated my Regulator, I used my DogFather to chop the top Guard off...thats right Dog-Eat-Dog!!

It was easy and feels much better now

Not the best looking job though...

What size and thickness do you all think is the best do it all knife? I think 6-8" and 3/16-.25 thick max. With you can pretty much do anything

I put down my SFNO Le as my "one knife to rule them all" knife... Mainly because it is awesome!

But honestly, I think the RMD is the best overall knife I have ever had.
It just feels so great in hand, and so well built. The more I handle it, the more I dig it.

I think a for an all arounder including chopping, splitting, food prep, game processing and defense/offense the Basic 7 is [censored] hard to beat. It is also a super light package and the M-INFI takes and holds a GREAT edge. As many knives as I have my Old Basics still get picked first. LOVE 'em!!
YMMV.
I chose the B9 as my "one knife" simple because of the extra reach.
