Those are some pretty well thought out considerations cool I just took a look at the 300 blackout and thought it looked like a cool round to have fun with. I guess it also depends on what you are going to be doing with the gun.

So what is your intended use for your "AK-15"? Just a fun gun or a survival tool?

Well, I would be buying a SYKCO 411 if it was available, but I wait for the opportunity...

In the mean time I picked up a box of 9mm at Walmart. Ammo seems to be more available lately.

I picked up a pair of hand built Mendl boots. Bet feeling things I have ever had on my feet. I have been wearing them everyday for the last week and can't think of wearing anything else--even with shorts! Got to remember, a comfortable pair of shoes will be necessary when one has to go by foot travel.

I don't think I posted this before. I wanted to try out a Hydration Pack instead of using canteens so I picked up a cheap one at the local Big Box store. It was under $10 and looks pretty good for the money.

I have always prefered them to canteens but make sure you dry them after use because cleaning out all the mold if you don't is darn near impossible.

The mold problem is the reason why I have stuck to carrying two canteens. If I like the bladder, then I think I will get a Geigerrig. It seems to be the easiest one to dry out.

I was gonna ask how you dry them. At present I have 2 GI 1qt canteens and a GI 2 quart canteen. Plus a couple 1lit ss bottles.
