I'm looking into learning to do stippling for guns and other outdoor gear. Does anyone have any info or advice to share? I'm trying to read up on what I will need and how to go about doing this.

A guy I work with does it with a woodburning iron, if you're familiar with one of those.

probably would would be best to use a variable temperature soldering. I would also probably start with some kydex or other similar plastics to see how they respond to different heat setting. and lastly have some different tips and see which ones work best for the patterns you want.
i'm a bit too much of a perfectionist to get into something like that. i tend to turn small mistakes into bigger mistakes by attempting to "fix" the mistakes I mades.

Well if I want to get into custom gun smithing I gotta start somewhere.
And I figure I will start small and work up to big stuff
