All. I injured my shoulder Monday trying to help my oldest learn to run a jet ski. He threw me from the back trying to take a turn at around 40mph. Water isn't soft at that speed. By the time I came too, I realized I was hurt. I'd hoped it would go away but I am more and more convinced I tore something in the rotator cuff. I can't sleep for the pain and really hope it isn't serious enough to warrant surgery--I'm gonna need 1-2 surgeries in the next year as is and don't have enough time off to cover an additional one. Thanks for any prayers faith and well wishes you all feel inclined to share. Thanks!

Ouch!

Sorry to hear that.
Fingers crossed, that time will be the best healer.

I guess you just fall harder, with each passing year.

10 years ago I could race down a hill on a bike, and crash into a tree, and then just get up and brush off the dust and leaves. Not so much today...

You know you can depend on us DT. Prayers and well wishes that nothing is actually torn, just maybe bruised or stretched to much.

Can you lift you arm above shoulder level? If you can't, it is very likely that you did tear your rotator cuff.

If you can, I'm betting it's a separated shoulder ( damaged ligament between shoulder blade and collar bone). I've separated my shoulder before and your only real option is likely physical therapy as most surgeons won't operate for this (too risky, many arteries located in shoulder).

It's probably a good idea to get yourself a sling to keep your arm in right now, as it could prevent further damage in either case. Then, get it checked out by someone who's qualified and go from there.

If i turn my hand and lift I can get it about 18 inches from my side. Definitely RC. I've injured it before, just never like this. Sling is probably a good idea.

Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes. They worked miracles for my daughter and I hope for similar results here smile
