I'd like a 511. So, when does the order page open again? I think the best answer you will get to this is the standard "two weeks", which is loosely translated to the word "soon" in the english language.

Yes, I guess my question is just rhetorical.

I hear in addition to handling the SY warranty and replacement service, Klink will be filling orders soon from his extensive private collection.

I'm going to go against the grain of this thread....
I didn't like my 511's. I feel the Scrapper 5 is a better design, and the execution was higher on it. (All of my 511's had noticeable gaps between the Res-C and blade where it met the tang).
The mudders on the S5 feel great, and the blade profile is better (IMHO). The mudders are why I like the 411 (kept the 411's and sold the 511's). In fact, I'm giving away four 411's this Christmas because for "sheeple" its a perfect sized knife.
I think the Scrapper 5 was one of Dan's best designs (if not the best overall knife).
ETA: My wife prefers mudders to any other handle design she's used.

I bought a mil overrun 511 a while back, then sold all of my S5s. I agree the mudders are better, but the choilless (for the most part) and ffg design of the mil 511 made it a winner for me. Mine has zero issues with the handle-to-tang fitting problems. Mudders would make it better, though.

I traded GunfixrJoe a while ago for his Scrapper 5, and while I liked the mudders I was not entirely satisfied with the knife overall.
I felt the 5" blade was just a smidge small for what I would use it for, 6" would have been perfect for me. I liked the thickness (.170") but would have preferred a different grind, either full flat or full convex.
Wasn't feeling the thumb ramp or choil too much either, they are certainly not for everyone.
