I second RN! The RAT 1 folder is the best I have ever held in this price range - even with a lot more expensive knives ( I do own 3 Heckler and Koch knives 1 of their original series some 10-15 years ago and 2 of the benchmade ones) you need to spent A LOT more money to get close to feeling, handling, quality and EDC potential with other manufacturers. I hate Ontario for still producing the RAT fixed ones from Randall - but boy did they a great job with the folder. Since I used it as a EDC knife, to of my friends also got themself the RAT 1 folder as soon as they could try mine. From top to bottom CS Rajah II (not very useable as EDC... ) CS Spartan (cool grip!) Ontario RAT 1 folder H&K X-15 TN (pre benchmade with the blade made from x-15 steel 150$+ range) Gerber Bear Grylls Scout folder (I hate this knife! Probably the cheapest rip off I´ve ever held in hand! Just too lazy to get rid of it via ebay...) ![[Linked Image from www10.pic-upload.de]](http://www10.pic-upload.de/thumb/18.08.13/y88423lytc.jpg)

Feederle, I have one of the Original Rat Model 1 folders (when Randall still owned the name) IT IS NICE. It's in my 511 push bag. I also bought the Rat II that Ontario makes now. It is also a pretty good blade, specially considering the price. I edc it now instead of my CR small Sebenza. If I loose the Rat, I won't be crying like I would if I lost the CR. BUT when I want to "Upgrade", it's one of my CR blades!

Thanks for the hint! I was not aware that they do make a small RAT folder! I consider the RAT 1 folder a pretty good EDC size though. And one I forgot totally - I do own two identically CRKT Crawford-Kasper (bargain pick up at 17$) very nice double safety lock and good feeling handle BUT it really is more of a tactical/fighting knife

I have two militaries One is fully serated which I found I am not a fan of serrations the other is a plain edge but I didn't know when I bought it that about 1/4 of the tip was broken off and reprofiled I also have a g10 police which is longer than the military

I'll try to get a group shot later but I've settled for the time being on the following four folders. ZT 301 Microtech Ultratech CRK Sebenza Classic Emerson CQC-8
As you can see this is where my funds have gone lately.

I've got a Small Sebbie W/micarta inlays and a Umnumzaan that I wouldn't trade for anything.
