OK MonsterDog, I'll TRY and answer your post.

Patty has her fathers (he died in 2004) single shot .410 and I have a bolt action .410. PLUS we've also got some 20's.

Small fixed blade, well the 311, 411 and Muppy comes to mind. Also the Cupidvores and Swamp Wardens.

A bow would work, but I haven't shot one in YEARS! Plus I have NEVER shot a compound. I've drawn back on a few, but never shot one.

One oft overlooked item is a walking stick or a cane. I have a Self Defense cane from CaneMasters. It's called the triple grip. It is one wicked piece of ash and would put a hurting on someone.
