any okra fans? picked a bunch yesterday. my uncle grew a few small plots of veggies but only had time to pick the okra.
i love the stuff... but i'll pretty much eat anything.

i didn't know a whole bucket full of okra could grow literally over night. the deer have been munching down on a bunch if it. i told my uncle that it's okay. in just a few months we will get all of our back!

says that okra will grow until a frost kills it. if you like okra it sounds like a good option to grow in a survival situation. grows fast, grows until frost kills it, and it attracts deer. if you don't like it maybe grow some on the outskirts of your food plot and maybe it will fill up the deer and save some of your more preferred plants.
just a thought...

oh yuh... got a couple smith county watermelons and a few dozen figs. the watermelon are considered some of the best watermelons grown. period! and i have to agree. but pretty much anything that grows in smith county soil is going to be good.
