I, for one, am not a fan of Orange. I prefer my Dogs to be subdued. I tend to favor the darker colors, but that orange sure makes it hard to lose and there are a bunch of folks who love the brights Dan

In low light conditions it's not easy to find a knife from the ground even if you just left it there for a second.

A typical "Bushcrafter" Blade, mudders of course. That style of blade is good for SO many things. Make it 4.0 inches from tip to grip and no choil, sharp all the way to the plunge line. This! Lots of votes for this design.

Oh, that Kukri is also a GREAT idea! With a blade catch on the upper side and a hand guard on the lower side...

I liked the War Dog, but I found it to be a bit too thick for my uses. It's almost a 1/4" thick! Agreed. I loved the shape of the blade but really wished it was about .150" thick with a full convex grind. 5.5" blade would be perfect too!

Also, regarding orange and not being lost I'd just like to point out a couple things.....
First, you should never set a knife down in the field as its far too easy to lose even with bright colors. Always put it back in it's 'home' when you're done with it, even if you'll need it again soon.
Second, Fluorescent colors like orange and such will do you no good if your knife gets covered with debris such as leaves. I've been present when a bright yellow GPS unit was dropped on the way to the deer stand, we will never see that GPS again as Michigan woods are loaded with leaf litter.

But what grip style would do best in the circular swinging? I own a CS Kukri and their style works quite well for clearing brush and light chopping...
