What's everyone up to? I'm enjoying a nice cigar and a glass of Old No. 7 with a single distilled water ice cube. Yes, I'm weird about my whiskey.

So, one funny quote today and I'm out. Local talk show host Chris Plante was talking about the early days of the War on Terror and noted that at first we didn't have drones, but then the military said "Hey we have drones. We have Hellfire Missiles. It's like the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup of death!"

Hey Dogs, sorry I missed all the action yesterday.
BILL, I am SO sorry to hear about Pauline and here is for them to find a way that will allow her to keep what hearing she has left, if not get her back to 100 percent!

Been a big bummer of a day at the Skunks Den.
We had to put our baby girl to sleep today. She got so she couldn't walk or even stand up on her own and she was crying. Tore Patty up, BAD. But we had a good last week with her (she had a bad spell, visit to the Vet's Tuesday a week ago. Her kidneys were failing and she had lost another whole pound in just a week and she was eating. We don't know what really happened but her bouts of sickness were becoming more and more frequent. It tore us up pretty good (We had her for 15 1/2 years) but to Patty is was just like loosing a child. There isn't anywhere we went or nothing we did that Penny wasn't with us. Oh we left her along for a few hours here and there, but there was not one single day in all those years that we spend apart from her. Hardest thing I have ever had to do. But she is at rest now, in a secluded (as can be) spot in the back yard, a spot where the mower never goes.
Please think of Patty for the days to come and for her to get better from this the greatest loss she has ever had in her life.

I'm really sorry to hear that Skunk. Pets become much more than just pets if you let them; our cats are our family and we don't have kids. I hope that you and Patty are okay. Just remember Penny on her good days and think on how great her life must have been, surrounded by a family that loved her. My thoughts are with you both.
