I fully believe that the "Government" could be cut by 50 percent overall and still function more that adequately. Yes some departments would need more folks, some less, but overall I think a 50 percent reduction would be a very workable figure.

Fox is the only news channel I watch. Yes, a lot of times they are as biased (to the right) as the others are to the left, but at least FOX does talk about both sides of the coin.

I think you are right and probably more. If they cut back to the basics. Military, commerce and infrastructure life would be much better.

The Military (the actual "Doers") should stay the same, or even increase, and other "Agencies" that actually do some good. But as you said there are most often WAY to many "Middlemen" in the mix.

LOL, I don't think I could be in Congress with the way it is.
I am probably moving as soon as I retire if my state continues to slide. If we come back into the right direction I will stay.

There is a LOT of redundancy in government. Several agencies will each have their own "What have ya" when they could create a new agency if need be to service all them.
