Haven't had a beer in months. No soft drinks either. Trying to lose weight is tough.

WHAT! Yeah it's tough, but it CAN be done. Hang in there Todd.

Todd, SWMBO has found that 'diet' thing... 2 days per week you consume just 600 calories, on other days you eat and drink what you want (in moderation).
The first 2 weeks the 'skinny' days were hard to get through, but the 3rd week I was fine. In 10-12 weeks I lost 14 pounds.
I think that with the 'skinny' days the stomach shrinks a little bit because I can't eat as much as I used to, get full after smaller portion.

I'm only eating about half what I was eating, and not drinking anything but water and the occasional glass of milk. Still only lost 10 lbs in the last 3 months.

I'm down about 40 lbs over the past year, so I'll take it. But still, it's frustrating to cut back so much and not see any appreciable loss.

Sounds like Patty. She literally only eats MAYBE half what I do and she can hardly loose any weight at all.

I'll tell you, IF you can find a weight Watchers guide (book) and use that for what you eat, you WILL loose weight. But it has to be a lifetime change.

Todd, keep at it. Add some exercise and you should be good.
The funny thing is everyone complains how hard it is to see weight loss, and the thing that's really hard to notice is the weight creeping up on you...

My biggest problem is my right knee. Ever since I got arthritis in it I can't walk like I used to, so can't really burn off any extra calories.
