Nothing "Mythical" or "Mystical" would do much more than annoy it.

That is where the modern Hollywood comes in as they introduced the silver for werewolves
In at least one movie a werewolf is killed bring being struck in the head by a silver handled walking stick
In many traditions including some Early Christian groups silver was a ward against evil as was pure iron (example using iron nails to close a coffin)

The silver-handled walking stick was in the movie "The Wolfman" starring Lon Chaney. wink

Cool thread!

I wonder how a Sabot round would work
Or a lead hollow point with a silver rod in the middle that has part of its end exposed in the hollow

Yes and watching Kate Beckinsale running around is never a bad thing

Angie is also a fan so we will occasionally have daddy, daughter horror nights

In one of my favorite books called Those that hunt the night
Someone injects himself with silver nitrate just before a vampire bites him, and it kills the vampire
Of course they are both dead but the person had no escape

In the original movie" Frankenstein", the doctor's assistant was named Fritz, NOT Igor! shocked You can stump a lot of people with that nugget of knowledge. laugh

Silver has some anti-bacterial qualities, which is why the early pioneers would put a silver dollar in their water barrels. I believe that silver is also an ingredient in some burn ointments for the same reason. smile
