Haha, talk about extended mags, I've got a 15 rounder for My Sig P220. I've got a couple 33-rounders for my Glock 19. Keep them in my truck door pocket in case I get into a mess. I figure that if I'm at home I have access to plenty more ammo to reload mags, so I just keep my 15-rounders stuck around the house.

I have pistols for around the house, but prefer one of the 12 gauge shotguns.

That's a nice idea on the .40 S&W.  I love the .40 S&W round. It's a heck of a hard hitting round. The only reason I went to 9 mm was for the additional capacity.

I keep a 870 behind the bedroom door and a 20 gauge shotgun in the laundry room, hid but handy. And there's always the lever guns that are sitting around.
