I did it again! Sorry I changed your post Ishi. I changed it back. Every once in a while when I want to respond to a post with quotes I click on Edit not the button I want. HERE is the response to your What caliber am I looking at.

22rimfire. I think it would be the most fun and most versatile for me. Not ideal for everything of course, but the most useful in case.......

22RF is the best place to start. I have an AAC Element.

You can do the cleaning yourself...just got to make the "dip". Caustic stuff, gotta be careful, but no need to send it in.

The glory of Thunderbeast is repeatability. If accuracy is your game, they have a great offering. If you just want to fire off a bunch of rounds for fun / plinking...you could get away with much less.

Suppressors really are a game of buy once cry once, though. You are buying a life asset...not something you'll really want to sell off later. The stamp is an economic incentive to keep any Class III items....so get what you want, save up for the best if you have to.

Yeah that was kinda my thoughts. But still that is a major chunk of change, what with the BATF charging $200.00 just to put me on another list!

I actually like the element.

Oh and cleaning "Dip"? Is there a formula for it somewhere and how often you should do it?

Yeah, I'm with ya. I think that's why Arch sold off his class III's. I could care less, honestly....I'm sure I'm on many more lists for much worse.

Oh I should say I also like the SilencerCo Sparrow. That's the one the JJ bought last year and he really likes it.

As long as we are not harming anyone or anything, I don't think it is ANY of the Government's business. IF we get a clean bill of health from the county sheriff's or who ever locally approves those things, the Feds have no business putting us on a round up list.

Cleaning on Page 2. Doesn't describe the "dip"...I will have to find it. I'm in Portugal at the moment, don't have access to my files.

I hear good stuff about the Sparrow as well. Don't think you could go wrong there.
