They're saying on the news that they're presuming 10k dead in the Phillippines from the typhoon. Wow. Holy Smoke! I hadn't heard that. But I'm not surprised. A LOT of the "Houses" over there are literally nothing more than grass and bamboo huts.

Never had any desire to go there. Japan, yes. I'd love to travel there. Maybe even Vietnam, just as a history lesson. But the Philippines don't appeal to me.
