By placing a couple on your body it will help at least some. Maybe unlace your boots and put one in each boot to help keep your feet warm, seeing as how they will get cold first or faster than the rest of you. Or if you are not going to move / not able to move, go into a sleeping bag and drop one or two into to the bag.

Im fussing about it being in the 50's here and I'll bet you guys would love to have that in November. Or am I totally wrong?

Yeah that would work Timo. I have been thinking about the SOL bivy or escape/emergency bivy bags.

I don't know how true it is, but I heard a LONG time ago that if you can keep your wrists and temples warm the rest of you will be as well.

Im fussing about it being in the 50's here and I'll bet you guys would love to have that in November. Or am I totally wrong? We are now in 35F - 45F daily. Northern Finland is under 32F. It´s strangely warm for November here now...

I've heard that if you run cold water over your wrists it'll cool you off quickly. I guess the opposite applies too.
