I have a BWM with the pumpkin handles. When I first got it the Tops of the Grooves were really sharp and almost hurt. But now that I have handled it a bit they are smoothing off and feel nice. As much as I like Dan's blades I REALLY like the BWM for it's size and blade shape. Plus INFI does good work and sharpens up easily enough. Winning combo.

That said, I can hardly wait on Dan's next release. I'm really looking forward to it and hope it will be an EDC/bushcraft/woods type knife.

The Famous (or infamous) Negrito Hunting Bolo.

9.5 inches of 1/4 inch thick spring steel made from salvaged truck springs. Heat treat is what ever the springs were originally done at. That being said, it of course doesn't hold an edge like Dan's wares, but at the same time you can sharpen it on a concrete block (been done a few times).

The handle is Water Buffalo stacked leather with aluminum "Spacers" made from who knows what kind of source. Brass Guard is from melted down 20MM aircraft cannon casings.

Sheath is an after market job I had made when I was stationed in Texas. I just found the ORIGINAL 37 year old (Fold over) Water Buffalo Hide sheath while we were cleaning out the garage. I'll try and get a pic of it. It's nothing unique, just that it has lasted all these years and is still functional.

I just came in from sitting on the deck while the dogs ran around; 18 degrees, but fortunately no wind. Fortunately, by Saturday...firearms deer season opener...it's supposed to be around 60 or so. grin
