Vacation time is time based, I get about 11 hours a month IIRC. And I don't take nearly that much.

Plus what time I do take off is usually saved up holiday time that I've earned.

I like the idea of taking 160 hours a month for early retirement. We've had guys leave more than a year early before.

We get a weeks vacation starting in the second year of employment. Then a second week after either 5 or 10 years and the 3 weeks after either 10 or 15 years. I have gotten 3 weeks for quite some time and I THINK I will get a 4th week after this coming March (20 anniversary here).

Well could retire from here and draw about 1K a month total. So IF I retired now I would get about $2200.00 a month total (here and Mil.) About 5-700 a month less than I make now. PLUS I would only have VA healthcare.
