If you get them soon enough and discard the torn up meat no reason not to. No, no need to waste it. I gave away one Sunday morning myself. Guy called, wanted to report hitting a deer. No damage to his vehicle, deer down but not dead. I told him to finish it off and take it home if he wanted to.

We have a form from the Conservation Dept. Only thing is that THEY have to be the ones the authorize shooting it if it's not dead. They won't let us do it.

I probably went over my pay grade, but the guy was 1/4 mile from his house and there were no state patrol out. So I got his name and address and told him to go ahead. If I got called on it by wildlife I'd vouch for him.
