nope and nope... not really... this isnt really one of those practical purchases i guess. the cz is overkill for my hunting needs but would get it done. if i get a FAL i like it would most likely replace my m1a at some point. since i'm getting the asking price on my guitar (otherwise could be lossing money selling later) i'm just turning that previous investment into an investment in a quality firearm.

not saying i want this exact FAL but the one used for the top page header is about what i want.

that one is probably way out of my budget. i'd probably have to get the rifle now and change to wood later but that's how I would dress a FAL if I ended up with one.

It's just a Metric FAL with Ironwood furniture. You can add that wood to any FAL.

Yep, both metric and inch rifles can be dolled up in wood. An Aussie L1A1 in early pattern wood is something near and dear to me Not the most practical of solutions but pretty...!!! That said our L1A1s wore wood for the duration of their service and it was not significant impediment. I did however prefer the Brit/NZ plastic fittings on mine
