My son went swimming with his in his pocket. We shook the water out of it, took it home and put it in a baggie of rice. Works just fine now.

When Hurricane Andrew tore up Homestead AFB (Miami Florida area in what, '92) we salvaged computers that sloshed when you picked them up. Turned them on end for about 4 days and they worked fine. I actually took one back to my duty station at Pope AFB and it was still working a year later.
