I noticed that most sheaths have the metal snaps where they would rub up against the handle. Is it done that way for a reason? I think I would want the snaps on the other side and up against my clothing.

I wear them that way because its easier for me to snap but it does flip around

I know it flips around and I do that because it is not difficult for me to snap but I wondered if there was a particular reason the snaps are always up against the handle.
