Sher's Mom's next door neighbor was just told that he has only about a week to live.  He really wanted to make it to Christmas.

We're not doing to bad. Patty finally got up her Christmas tree. She is a lot happier now.
Up in Western Illinois...a nice little town in a LOUSY state!  Hey, at least Y'all made it out! One of the BEST things we could have done!!!

A real shame, as he is a nice guy. He DID manage to bag a deer recently, and was happy about that.

OK back to less depressing.
The Compact parang is a great carry size. Has a 9inch total and 7inch cutting edge. Hits pretty hard for it's size and is very quick in the hand. plus you can just slide it under your belt edge up and the curve helps keep it in place.

Although she did buy me a double (Plastic type) gun case at Wally World yesterday. It's not a take to Africa type, but for just storing my two Weatherby Shottys it will work out just fine.

We don't worry about presents for ourselves, just the grandkids, nieces, and nephews. It STILL gets pretty expensive!
