My next AR is going to be chambered in 5.45x39 because it is cheaper than 22LR right now.

are you building or is there a maker you are looking to buy? i think S&W made on chambered in 5.45x39 at one time. can't say i would buy one but it would be tempting because of the stories told about that round.

that huldra does look interesting. i'd probably do something like that before i did an AR in .223. if .300 was more popular i'd even consider that.

yup, i think i did okay today. just mounted the scope and already i'm becoming a burris fan. it seems they have a similar scope to the one i missed. i'm going to look into it some more. the 3-9 would probably be fine but it's a little too big for the rifle.

What did you think of the Natchezss website? I've never looked at their scopes so I'm not sure what prices are good.

they had some pretty good deals. there was a couple that i almost pulled the trigger on just to have some dirt cheap scopes around. i'm just slower to buy stuff online.

I've bought a lot of ammo from them. If you want some inexpensive optics check out cdnn investments, you can see most of their stuff but to see firearms download their catalog. Great prices.
