I always wore one, up until about 15 years ago
From the time I was in elementary school until my early 30's

exactly I used to not wear one now I feel naked with out one.

I only own three watches
One is a digital timex that is about 20 years old
One is an analog timex that is on a pocket fob which I use for hunting
One is a citizen ecodrive that is my 25 years watch from work

I have a group of things I go overboard on watches being one of them, I have tried to stop a few times but I just seem to get sucked back in. lol

We all have a need to collect certain things

I have just decided I need to collect the expensive stuff for some reason and it has much less to do with the "oh look what I have" than it does with owning things of quality that are mechanically advanced or perfected.

My problem is that I am hairy and I sweat and I have larger than average wrists
Most watches come with bands that are too tight or barely fit

The twist ones seem to catch on arm hair too much and leather straps smell like nasty gym socks before too long

I know what you mean
One thing that drove me nuts when I wore watches was having to reset the time on them
Still bugs me when the clock in my car is a different time than my phone
