We have a large Hispanic population here, that have come in to work in the factories. Now the factories have left, but they like it here so they stayed.

Some of them don't speak any English at all, which is frustrating when they call 911 for help.

I need to learn Spanish.

I've thought about the Rosetta Stone program, just to try and pick up some of the language.

I´d like to learn Spanish also.

We´ve visited Canary Islands two times and we are planning to visit continental Spain in couple of years.

It's hard enough to learn a language when you don't use it very much. But I can't imagine learning several and trying to keep them seperate.

I know people that speak 4-5 languages, and it baffles me greatly.

Learning spanish, italian ja portugese might be a pain, but learning spanish and russian might not be so messy. Only if we forget the seven different S -sounds in russian.
