it was really good! it was just the smaller pieces and scraps but man they did the trick.

i still have another i need to trim up. these were donated but i'm still planning to go get my own in a week or so.

picked up a 45/70 h&r single shot so that adds another 3 weeks i can hunt this season. adds about a month and a half over all next season if the rules stay the same.

my primary target when i go back out is a buck that spotted me walking in. it was something like 15 degrees out and he's standing on a hill and spots me coming down into a gully. so he sees me and takes off like he was the paul revere of deers or something. i hear him screaming his fluffy white butt off in the distance over and over and his calls just fade away in the cold air. this joker is telling every deer from here to louisiana about me. my head just dropped... man, it's too cold for that! so now i want him on a plate!
