Dice,
Did you need to wear hearing protection for that job? Not in the cab. I never wore hearing protection at all - but wish I would have. The loudest/damaging part of the job was just being around the loud diesel engine all the time. As infrequently as we actually went out and shot, and being inside the cab w/ CVC helmets on, the noise was no big deal.

okay, mike here you go: the ones I like a lot: 1,5,6,9,11,12,15,17,17,22,24,27,28,31,32,34,35,3,41. the ones that were okay, but I wasn't crazy about: 3,4,7,8,10,19,20,26,30,33,36,38,39,40. the ones I thought were kinda, meh: 2,13,14,16,18,21,23,25,29,42.
I prefer the shots that are dynamic, that seem a bit more spontaneous than the ones that feel posed, that feel celebratory (it is a wedding), where you can get a good look at all the subjects' faces, and where the subjects are "in" the moment (smiling and looking like they mean it, or like they forgot about the camera, or they're looking at the camera instead of away from it in group shots). hope that helps a little.

That exact firing piece came about in like '84. He musta been using old school rockets and missiles! Thats good stuff. Very cool.
