I rebuilt my Ruger 10/22 that I bought when I was a kid. B&C silhouette stock, stainless fluted barrel and an 8-32x50 Tasco (Japan optics!). I did the rework of the action and trigger. 2 lbs and 0.5mm of creep.

Nice 22 dude. Mine is just a plain Jane 10-22 but I have thought about reworking it.

I know what you mean, Randy. Here's a modern take on a more traditional design. I bought it for its versitility. Marlin XT-22. Bolt action, tube magazine, composite stock, stainless everything else. Fairly heavy barrel, but relatively lightweight overall. Shoots .22 short, long, and long rifle. Fairly high capacity, 17 rounds of .22 lr I believe. CB Caps through this thing are so quiet. Much quieter than a pellet gun. Quite accurate and fun to shoot.

Oh, and when I bought it it was the only tube magazine fed bolt action .22 made at the time. Not sure if that has changed.

Hmmmmm both nice rifles, but I think I would stick with conventional .22rimfire.
