Based upon what I have read and the ammo expense I would probably go with 22mag over the 17. You can shoot a bit heaver bullet and I consider both rounds to only be 100 Yard tools.

this is why I am thinking 17 the 22 mags are a little scarce around here as well but still not as bad as long rifle.

Any folks have a henry lever action 22lr?

I'm tempted...looks like it would be fun and be nice to be able to shoot a mix of 22. I wider about the quality though...

Rich, don't know first hand, but but from what I have read the Henry rifles are good quality rifles. Do your homework, check out the gun forums for henry rifles.

Knowing where to go for the info! wink

I have an itch for that rifle, a glock 19 or what would be a better fit in my little collection a CZ 527 in 7.62x39...the 22 rifle would get the most use and the glock is just an itch for some reason...

If I was smart- I would put the $$ towards more ammo or training...but...I'm not smart and more toys wins! wink smile

Toys are always good. Besides you can always look at them even if you can't shoot them! grin

I have to believe that once capacity is restored in manufacturing ammo after more than years in the Middle East, the prices may come down to about twice what they once were.
