It depends on what you'll do with them. I prefer Danner. They are some really well made boots and you can usually get them all over.

Nothing really special. I just need them to keep my feet warm while I'm out in the snow.

i haven't been able to find any boots i like for under $200.

i just ended up patching up some old boots i had from 15 years ago for my hunting boots. they aren't waterproof or warm but they have great traction and i can walk in them all day long and not have any problems.

Get some thin polypropylene socks and wear them in layers. That is the best way that i have found to keep my feet dry (and warm). Works great for me during subzero nights in the mountains. Then when the thaw comes, go to Cabellas, Bass Pro Shops, REI, wherever and get the winter boots on clearance for next year.

The warmest boots I ever had were those snow mobile boots with the heavy felt linings.

I also found that the contractors' overboots were great for wet, snowy weather. I always had a pair for the barn or walking near the swamp.

We used to get those 4-buckle galoshes to wear to wear in the winter when i was a kid. Didn't need any fancy winter boots!

Look at them! They just look tough!! Now all you need are some mittens...

I wear these in safety toe and my feet ar always warm.
