Damond - Howdy and Welcome to the Scrap Yard! Several of our fellow forumites have bought sheaths from Leatherface, and they seem quite satisfied with them. There are other sheathmakers posting as well, such as Leatherdog, another reputable sheathmaker. Good luck, and let us know what you end up with! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> Tom

I second that, Leatherface makes a good sheath at a good price.

Here's a link with pics of some leather he's selling on bladeforums. He makes cool kydex one too. Go to this link and can click on his homepage to see pics of the kydex ones. Great value, great quality. Hit him up to clothe all your knifes and you'll get a killer deal on the whole set. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=439443

OOps, I's confuzd. I don't know why I thought leatherman and leatherface were the same makers. I think I've got it straight now. That's quite a deal for the leather in the link above. Here's the link to leatherface's kydex. I wrote and asked him about making a series of sheaths for various blades, and he gave me a remarkable quote. Great guy! http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=438301

Leatherman/leatherdog= Dwayne..master craftsman and allaround good guy
Leatherface= humble apprentice and one of the few people known that has done the "Saw Kata" with a live chainsaw! But I am the better looking one!!

Leatherface, are your leathers hand sewn?

I highly recommend Dave's (leatherface's) work. He was nice enough to make me a black leather sheath for my LE scrapper. His work is excellent, with that nice 'handsewn' aspect that I love so much. It just is not the same when the work is done by machine.

You got it right on the button there rooikat, theres no comparison between a hand stitched sheath and those stitched by machine. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> About 80% of my sheaths are hand stitched, the only ones we use the BOSS with are the production sheaths that we want to put a lot out in a little bit of time for much less money. I much prefer to stitch by hand, but sometimes its just not the best way to do things unfortunately.

Good to know there are nice 'fancy' (ie not nylon..) options out there for when Dan does his INFI!!
