One is a semi auto the other a pump. Yes, I have both and really like them.
I agree, I don't think the larger dot would be a hindrance and it would also as you said allow for faster pick up.

If it wasn't a trijicon
Then I'd get the FF3 with the picitiny protector mount shown lower on screen I think that is the one I was looking at. comes with the rail mount and the protective wings.

Yeah they have a high winged mount for co witness with AR sights. I wouldn't buy that one. I'd get the LOW mount for better cheek weld.

The one I was looking at was the one with the rail mount and protective wings. Doesn't look like a very tall mount to me. But it's only 3moa and I would really like a larger dot.

I'm thinkin the AR-F3 mount would be pretty good on the shotgun as it has rail on the receiver and also AR15 style front sight.
