Thom being the season it is, it's hard to celebrate speciafically- but much monkey dancing happened by the p.c when 1000 went in!! I have thought of ordering the bowie but I'd kick myself to death if Dan then released a large INFI as the wife would be having words... (ie you've got a big expensive 'chopper' you can't have another, or else..). I wish the bowie would come out so we all get to hear what Dan and Patti christened it!

No, see, what you do is order the Bowie. Later, if a different model comes out that you'd rather have more, you eBay the Bowie, and get the one you'd rather have. The Bowie would be out of production by then, and your Bowie will have probably gone up in value (like Busse and SR knives do) so you could sell it for a profit and actually MAKE money. Busse family knives are a GREAT investment. They always seem to go up in value. Can't say the same for gold or stocks. And they certainly have more intrinsic value and have more practical usability.

Excellent point Andy! Now, if you can get Paul to use the "investment angle" on his wife, then he should be home free. After all, the longer he keeps the Bowie, the more valuable it becomes. Therefore, continued purchases of Yard knives is like putting money in the bank! And even with all those expensive classes on financial planning/business, any spare money I have doesn’t go into stocks, precious metal, bonds, CDs, savings accounts, mutual funds, or anything like that. Instead, I invest in Busse family knives whever possible. They offer a better return with less risk than any other investment opportunity I’ve found. If she needs some re-assurance, make a little excel spreadsheet for her or something. Go find some ended ebay auctions/sold BF listings, and make a spreadsheet of the original selling price, the current selling price, and the % profit attained by the seller over the original selling price.

Here’s some personal examples. When I got my RM, I bought two. They were like $200 each. I waited 2-3 months, and sold my extra one for $350. I went to the 1500 gunshow and bought 2 HRs and 1 Coot for $80 each, and a couple weeks later I sold them for about $150 each. These investments helped fund future knive purchases that I wouldn’t have been able to afford otherwise. Make your hobby help pay for itself! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> With enough buying of extra knives and selling them for profit, it’s like getting your knives FREE!!! And who doesn’t love free knives? Especially knives that are THIS GOOD!
