i'm not rendering anything resembline a video that can play. my lame mandriva distro can't handle windows media, so perhaps that's my problem. i should check it out on my xp box just to see what it's supposed to look like... never tried to view a google video before anywhere.

Yeah, Ubuntu has a live disk that you can boot off of and just use. Was such a change to my normal distributions of choice (LFS, Gentoo or Slackware)

My old server had been called Kenny as it had been crashing regularly. My laptop had been cartman as I had an Inspiron 8k which weighed in around 10 pounds with both batteries

a guy at work has been telling me ubuntu will solve all my problems, but i've been working too hard to pull down the live version and reimage... one of these days it'll happen.

I grabbed Ubuntu Ultimate Gamers edition and then upgraded all the core stuff to the latest versions. Now i have lots of games to kill time with as well. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
