totally unrelated and out of the blue, but has anyone found or used the DMT 3 micron stones for sharpening yet? no, but also unrelated i wanna put some custom scales on my victorinox deluxe tinker. i'm thinking yeloow and black carbon fiber but wood has so much more class. any opinions?

Mag, I like the synthetic ones myself. A nice piece of wood is just too nice to be used for daily abuse. At least to me!

What kind of wood? something with a lot of character? it might not be as durable as the Carbon fiber though.

yeah, i was thinkin burled mable, zebrawood, figured walnut, somethin like that. brazilian rosewood, birdseye maple...i prefer those two on guitars but i'll take em if i see em.
