Excel can be intimidating for someone new to it. I have been using it for years and still don't really know it all to well.

it's like pulling teeth and blue collar comedy at the same time. she's a pediatrician, a [censored] good one, sharp as a razor. we were having trouble clicking and dragging.

Sometimes though it's easier to teach someone who knows very little as opposed to someone who thinks they know more than they do. Patience is the key. Something I lack and I babysick computers for a living.

when i moved out, cookin for myself was the worst part. not because the food was bad, it was because cookin for yourself and eatin alone sucks.

Here is a suggestion.

Print out the spreadsheet with grid lines and have her start with a pencil to fill in the amounts...like a check book. Then move her to the computer and only show her how to add and delete numbers. Write these direction down in big printed letter and lay them out on a cheat sheet in bulleted form. Its all about Baby steps...once the fear is gone the learning is easy.
