Wait, Gary. Are you saying not everything on the internet is true?. I need a few moments to process this.

I would love to try out a SAR-48. Last time I priced them I believe you could almost buy 2 SCAR-17s for the money.

I would love to try out a SAR-48. Last time I priced them I believe you could almost buy 2 SCAR-17s for the money. I averaged $1750 for the SAR-4800s and sold the used SAR-48 Bush for $2150. I'm selling the remaining three SAR-48 for $2200-2350 each. Two are brand new / unfired. The third was test fired by me. One has a DSA quad rail ($250) mounted. A SCAR-17 is about $2550 (Black) or $2700 (FDE). The SAR-48 is the highest quality FAL I've owned or used.

SAR-48s are climbing in price again, but I don't think they're going to pass a Scar-17 this year. It might happen next year as the "minty" copies are getting VERY scarce.

Oh, ok. My pricing was off. I definitely find the SCAR rifles very interesting. Last I heard they were coming out with one with a fixed stock?

The SAR-4800s were all unbanned with DSA 922r Compliance Parts. I paid about $285 in parts (per gun) plus the cost of having the brake removed.
I lost money on the post-ban SAR-4800s. I'm hoping to come close to breaking even on the SAR-48s.

I'm not sure about a fixed stock version. They have a sniper version and a non-reciprocating bolt version but I've not seen or heard of them being offered to us pee-on civies.

I've sort of dropped out of the emerging technology loop since I've already invested in my Scars. Its the most cutting edge I'm going to get until they start selling 40 megawatt plasma rifles.
The cost of being on the bleeding edge of technology was very high, and I've had to sell my entire collection to acquire my Scars, ACOGs, SureFire Scout lights, etc.
In the end, I decided to do the same thing with my gun collection I did with my knives...only the best. Busse Combat and FN Scars.

When I bought my Scar-17s they were over $2700 each. When I bought my Scar-16s they were over $2400 each.
