Well how rigid and how well the fit of the recievers are makes a differince in accuracy...

All this just is an excuse for more research lol.

If really doesn't. If you think about it, the rounds are fired from the upper receiver. The lower just serves as a housing for the trigger group and stock/buffer tube, and for a place for the rounds to feed from. As long as the stock is mounted properly then the lower should not affect accuracy. The part that most affects accuracy is the barrel.

I can see a garbage lower having a big impact on reliability, though.

I can see daylight shining through where my forged upper and lower receivers meet, and it's more accurate than I am.

I shouldn't say that it absolutely will not have any effect on accuracy, as I can see how a very poor fit might. As long as the receivers are made by reputable manufacturers then you will have zero accuracy issues caused by the fit between the upper and lower.

Mine is a Palmetto State barrel and upper on a Bravo Company blem lower.

Wow guys lots of great info in the last week, What do you think the gen 2 dpms are going to be like?

Hey SP I also have an ALG trigger in my AR I went with this one.
http://algdefense.com/alg-combat-trigger-act.html
For a battle rifle and not a bench rifle I think it is hard to beat it is a million percent improvement over the stock trigger group.

Yep, that's the trigger I have. The pull is still heavy, but its smooth. I've been happy with it.

I don't keep current with all the news in the AR world, and I hadn't heard of the DPMS Gen 2 before you just mentioned it. I just watched the DPMS vid on it and now I'm very curious. I like the small package and I'm interested to see some real world feedback.

Watching the vid I got a chuckle out of seeing one of the DPMS techs slap a pistol grip on a lower in about 3 seconds. When I replaced the factory pistol grip on my AR it took me clost to ten minutes. I might be a little quicker if I had to do it again, but still.

It has peaked my interest I may just have to get myself one. Did you find enough info GD or would you like me to post some. Another plus for me is DPMS is close to me and I can buy direct if I desire.

I went to the dpms website. I like their idea for sure! Idk about replacing certain parts... They aren't at-15 and they aren't ar10. But it's very cool. I bet it's a lot of bang for the buck. Wouldn't you be paying the expensive MSRP if purchased directly???

Most ar10s arn't really compatible as it is so that really isn't an issue for me.
LE discount makes it more competitive price wise.
