yo fink, i just had a great i-freakin'-dea....go edit the first post. only the title. change it to "THIS IS MY FREAXIN' THREAD!"
apostrophes and x's are completely brutal. except when girls sandwich em between o's to signify hugs and kisses. that's totally lame and brutally unbrutal. i guess it's still brutal by that virtue... I should title it **BRUTAL**XXX***DEATHCHAT**** . . . but I won't, because it would be more brutal to label it "The NSync Fanclub online pep fest". Then again, maybe it is more metal to just not care what it is called.

Back to the top with a pic of my new gun. I am gonna quote your post just to post that picture again. It looks good. I want a "smaller" revolver some day can't decide should I go with the 38 special? or .357 Mag? or something entierly different?

thoes words "NSync", "Fanclub", and "pep" are not to ever be used in that order or togather in that manner or any other maner for that matter. It is just sick, wrong, and imorale.

It is just sick, wrong, and imorale. thus making it....brutal. completely brutal. my chops are on fire right now. i just whipped out all the metallica on my solid state amp rather than the sweet tube, solid state is so heavy. it's completely brutal. i wanna crank it up but i don't wanna wake the neighbors, which is so not metal of me but maybe one day they'll say that by not conforming to the metal archetypes i returned to the foundations of metal: departure from archetypes. that's metal. this isn't your grandpa's hair metal, it's sr-77 caliber metal. waste not, want not, form follows function, raw power. brutality at its brutalest. they'll call my the Brutalest Brutalist.

I want a "smaller" revolver some day can't decide should I go with the 38 special? or .357 Mag? I think .357 is best, because it’s more versatile and can fire both .38 & .357 rounds. You never know what ammo there might be available in an emergency. It’s good to be able to have options. And, .357 is a more powerful round, and you never know when the extra power might come in handy.

Rat F - sweet pic - great pistol - check out a "Renegade" ankle holster if you get the chance. Bond - The Smith 642 is THE ONLY SMALL REVOLVER for carry. Forget anything with a hammer - unless you REALLY think that you'll EVER be shooting single action (yeah right!) hammers are just gonna snag on everything - and if you're going to be carrying it - you will LOVE the airweight frame. Smith 642 is without a doubt the best small revolver for EDC. Not so much my opinion, as it is a fact.

And Rat - you might go w/ +P loads for carry - but I don't think you'd want to shoot those hot rounds when you're just out plinking.
Andy W - wasn't trying to undercut your post - if I was going w/ even a mid sized revolver I'd agree w/ you on .357 - definately a little more knockdown and easier to find ammo - but on something pocket sized, I think that the .38 is a little better suited, and that the features of the 642 are crucial. Then again, I'm biased, since I pack one ever day. Definately handle one if you get a chance though - you'll be blown away.

Yeah, it's setting on my plinking rounds- regular .38 special FMJ's.
I do have to say that the handle on this revolver is the most comfortable I have ever handled. It feels like a lump of clay molded into my palm.
