Dangit greaser. I just made a commitment to myself to start saving up. I'll be there in about a year. Less if I decide to sell some stuff.

They offer the GII in several different models, and I couldn't find my perfect combination. The Lightweight Hunter is the best compromise. The only thing I would change is the barrel length. I would prefer an 18" barrel over a 20" one, but that's easy enough to fix.

And I'd probably give it an Ishikawa style rattle can job, that way I have to keep it.
Well, now I'm considering selling my FAL, and according to Andy I would have to turn in my man card. I don't want to do that, I like my man card.

Not gonna happen, Andy. That thing has a permanent home with me. Just wanted to see how long it would take you.

Lol true. I'm a hands in guy and the only FAL I can find is a used $2500 imbel. Fixed stock longer barrel. Has the top optic rail and the voltor quad rail. But it's hard to part with that for a used gun. And I don't know enough about em.

That is pretty much TWICE what that rifle is worth, even allowing $400 for the rail and mount.
I just watched an StG on DSA (early LMT receiver) drop from 1750 to 1250 to sell on The Files. $1700 gets you into a new DSA !!!!! Not saying that are all that but FFS it is a better deal than a $2500 kit build.
