I always seem to want to sell when nobody wants what I have and buy when everybody wants what I need.
I have several guns for sale that aren't getting any attention, but as soon as I stop trying to sell them someone else will come along and move the same thing for more money.

Crap! Whenever I'm shopping it always seems the price on whatever I'm shopping for has recently jumped way up. I guess timing is everything.

Yes it is.
I'm currently trying to sell the last of my AKs. One model is selling for $1000 plus shipping everywhere but mine aren't moving at $975 shipped (and I've even told people I'll add up to ten new original Chinese 30rd for $15 each...which is CHEAP.
I have 150 military uniform and gear items for sale at less than 50% of the price they were online...nothing is moving. It's all brand new for around 50% cost plus free shipping .
I'm having a rotten time selling items.

How can you tell the cod is dead? ....'cause the rifle is not smiling... I MUCH prefer plastics on the FAL, be it metric or inch. That said, when I was running one of my SLRs in a Service Rifle match I fitted it up with wood, being a little denser I think it make it a wholly more pleasant experience to shoot from prone for hours.

I don't buy into the "bad economy" BS.
People have cable tv with 15 ESPN channels, drink $5 Starbucks coffee, and eat out for lunch everyday.
If you can afford stupid luxuries like those then you can afford to buy quality gear. If you can't afford both...you need to examine your priorities.

That reminds me. I came home on leave in '98 and my grandparents met me at LAX to take me home. When they greeted me my grandfather was so angry that he had to pay $5 for a Starbucks coffee. He didn't speak for the 3 hour drive home. I felt bad. I don't think he knew how much it was going to cost until they served it up to him. I think he felt obligated to pay since he didn't bother checking to see how much a regular coffee was going to cost.
Gary, if your uniform and gear items are for sale online then send me a link, please.
Nice one, Andy.

Armslist has always worked well for selling firearms related gear for me.
I would also like a link or list Arch.

I think I broke even on my unfired GSR when I sold it, but lost money on the 5 spare factory steel magazines. I can't remember the details on the Leupold Scout I sold off of it. That rifle was a major disappointment. The mags wobbled so much I knew if would never feed reliably.
