Also, what kind of rifle sling are you using? Do you carry weak side muzzle down? I have carried that way since I was in the service and I never see anyone else carry that way.

Its the fast way to make ready without having to support the rifle constantly. It frees the hands to work while not having a "slung and dumb" rifle on your back.

I'm waking this thread up. looking forward to seeing the results Monday I'm dropping my FAL off to have the barrel shortened to 18" and to have a custom muzzle brake installed.
