The Dumpster Mutt is probably my favorite knife, so I'm biased, but it's well worth picking one up if you can find one.

Mine are all flat saber ground CG models (all 3 are show specials with new style handles and no penetrator tip).

My desert ones are factory edges and they are fairly thick but I don't find that to be a problem.
Easy to control?..Yes! Believe it or not, I have carved with them a lot and they do very well. I carved a bow drill set with my desert user a few months ago, no problem.

Obviously they aren't the best slicers by the nature of their beefy design, but for being such tanks, their performance has amazed me. I will say they are blade heavy!! And some people might not like that, especially if you tend to think that small res c handle is too short.

I love it. Can't get enough. I might buy a fourth one. wink

Also, the S7 is excellent, including its edge holding, it's quickly becoming my favorite steel.
