I feel that I have come full circle with the surplus. Of course I will always bounce back and forth. I have always been traditional and it was only this past year that I decided that I would get a Nalgene, I still carry real canteens though.

While the MK 7 is more rare than the Finnish bag, both are tough as hell. There are people who buy the MK 7 and worry when it gets dirty and post threads on how to clean them..... Gentley... I just run it under a faucet and when I first got it, I ironed it to straighten it out. These same people would have freaked out.

imaginefj, Andy is right in that it is a Marbles compass.. It is solid and comes in both a pin on or pocket version (which I have).
