Something else that doesn't help:

Getting up at 4:30 in the morning to go shooting at 6:30 for about 3-4 hours.
Returning home and beginning a chop-off (and forbidden to mention stuff) with 105f heat.
I probably drank 2-3 gallons of water + electrolytes.

As for the Mesquite:

Density = Very high
Hardness= Hard, difficult to dent
Specific Gravity= Extremely high, .80
Weight= Very heavy
It is very fibrous. The grain turns, twists, winds, wanders, rambles, and corkscrews. Great for barbeque's though.
