For something Christmas'y', my wife decided to make plum pudding.
Well, we all know that making plum pudding requires lots of "chopping"
and "cutting".
After all, there were many combatants that I was going to face, and I needed
a knife as hard as steel (pun intended), and as sharp as a razor, yet able
to withstand the punishment that it was going to face.

Which knife though????

Well what better tool for that task than a "Scrapyard Knife" <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

After much thought (well as long as it took for to go and get it), I decided
that my Scrapmuk was just the knife to do the job.

This wasn't just any Scrapmuk though...it was MY Scrapmuk...ala # 62

I got my Muk used to the competition by letting it hang with the raisins for a
while to get a feel for what it was up against.

It was a MUKky job but I'm glad that Dan and the gang were able to design
a tool that could handle the job.

The first real challenge was the "Dates".
They were hard competitors and really stuck to the MUK like...
well, really sticky Dates <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
However, they were no match for the "steely" determination of the MUK.

At this point, I would like to take a short interlude and remind everyone to
practice knife safety. There has been stuff said about the point of the MUK
not really being up to the "poking" standards of the more pointy penetrating
knives that have been put out recently.

I am here to attest however, the the point on the MUK is not only sharp, but
the very lightest touch of that terror tip brings up shiny red droplets of
blood...
(note that I wiped the blood off just in case there are sensitive types on
the forum <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />)

Ok now, back to the carnage.
Everyone was so scared of the MUK after it deleted the dates in delectible
fashion, that they decided to "gang up" on the noble MUK.

Enter the dried fruit tag team...Apricots...Papaya...Pineapple.

A short time later, the Scrapmuk reigned supreme. There was no dried fruit
combination that could stand up to this Scrapyard offering

All participants were herded off by the majestic MUK to their just deserts <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

The fruity participants found themselves in the "bowl of justice" with only orange juice
marinade to stew in their juices overnight. In the morning, they looked rather
worse for their time spent in the internment bowl

The trial was swift. They were found guilty of ganging up on our hero the Scrapmuk.
The sentence: TO BE MADE INTO PLUM PUDDING....
They were quickly herded off into canning jars and headed to the steamer for cooking

A little while later, some kind judge decided to cut their sentence and released
them, but it was too late. They were now PLUM PUDDING

It was decided that they should all continue with the process of reintegration
back into society.
What follows is their process from release into that most loved of deserts, the
vernerable PLUM PUDDING
